New laptop, lenvo 'next day on site service'. First round: they picked it up, 10 days after first call I got it back - unfixed. Now, the second try. I think the guy at Lenovo will do a better job...

This shows how the screen is curved. This is only shown on the backside - the display itself actually is curved as well, but that was impossible to get onto a picture. Hey, I am not a photographer. LARGE FILE

Pictures don't tell everything - still, download the full size picture, look at it at 100%, scroll between the middle and the top of the picture back and force, or compare the top row of hellos with a line in the middle or the bottom. In reality - 40% difference in gray mabye? Compare to my old x31 (good old ibm times) - can't see any difference at all. Everybody I asked so far has pointed out the shadows in the top row. Also everybody pointed out that it has a blueish touch to it - but setting the white point too high seems to be a Samsung thing, and is just annoying, but not a 'real' fault.

The screen pops up on the right side, if you press on it where the hook is, you hear it click in (and immediately back out again). Might it be that the whole screen curve puts too much preassure on it? LARGE FILE
